These programs are structured to provide you with a solid academic background as well as hands-on experience in our Graphic Technology computer labs and modern printing facility. Degree & Certificate Programs
Graphics Technology courses are offered exclusively in our computer labs and modern printing facility located on the Riverside Campus. Please compare our accredited program to that of any “technical college.” At Riverside Community College District you will complete your degree or certificate pattern for a fraction of the cost of technical schools. Our challenging academic experience will provide you with the necessary technical skills for future employment. In addition, the Associate in Science degree in Graphics Technology can be an avenue for students seeking baccalaureate degrees in various fields of applied graphic design and technology at other institutions.
Extracurricular Activities
RCC Graphix Club
The Riverside Community College Graphix Club is an active group of students with a common interest in graphics. Club meetings are held every Tuesday at 11:30 am in the Tech B building, Room 101 (Stripping Room.) The club makes field trips to the Gutenberg Festival and Digital Video-Web Expo, as well as tours of commercial graphic organizations such as multimedia companies and printing plants. Graphix Club members also participate in associated student activities on campus such as Halloween Town, Easter Breakfast, Pumpkin Carving, and Gingerbread House building. Graphix Club members may also compete in SkillsUSA with over 1500 other high schools, vocational schools and community colleges, to demonstrate their skills in more than one hundred vocational categories.
SkillsUSA
SkillsUSA is a national organization serving more than 250,000 high school and college students and professional members who are enrolled in training programs in technical, skilled, and service occupations, including health occupations. The SkillsUSA Championship is the showcase for the best career and technical students in the nation. Contests begin locally and continue through state and national levels. RCC Graphics Technology students have traditionally had a strong presence.
